The Special Operations Group is the San Andreas Highway Patrol's tactical team, they are responsible for high crime tactical scenarios, apprehending, taking down and responding to high risk callouts which other units wouldn't be equipped for or trained for. They are highly trained Troopers whom are able to mobilize at a moments notice.
The Canine Unit is the San Andreas Highway Patrol's trained dog patrol units. The K-9 Unit is responsible for searching for items (such as drugs or illegal weapons), searching for a missing persons, searching people for security purposes and much more.
The MBU or Motor Bike Unit plays a key part in protecting the citizens of San Andreas. Offering quick responses and the ability to manouver through traffic where a regular patrol unit might otherwise get stuck and be unable to respond. With their small and light weight they are perfect for protecting city streets and freeways. Weighed it is responding to calls for service, Running radar, escorting oversized loads by conducting traffic control or pursuing suspects in tight areas, SAHP’s MBU strives to serve you and uphold law and order.
The Speed Enforcement Unit (SEU) is a team of drivers specially trained in pursuit containment. This unit undergoes special trainings on how to handle pursuits of all kinds, including those of large trucks and trailers. They are also permitted to drive special performance vehicles owned by the SAHP in order to conduct speed and traffic enforcement duties.
The Air Support Unit & Air Paramedics is a group of individuals who have FAA Licenses and have been trained to fly, maintain and professionals use aircraft. These pilots can operate and activate 24/7 in either a Maverick AS350 or Cessna. They keep the eyes in the skies during vehicle pursuits, foot pursuits, search & rescue operations, MEDEVAC, missing persons, vehicle searches and more. Sometimes an Air Paramedic will be onboard with the operators, this is a person who has a EMT Certification and assist with MEDEVAC calls, search and rescue and any call regarding injury or medical aid.
The Marine & Underwater Recovery Unit is the San Andreas Highway Patrol's water policing unit. They are responsible for policing San Andreas's rivers, lakes , oceans and seas. They are equipped with 2 types of vessels which are used daily. The Underwater Recovery side is a group of Troopers specialised in recovering objects, people etc. from San Andreas's water resources.
The Detectives Bureau are responsible for responding to scenes such as shots fired, homicides etc. and they will be responsible for assessing the situation, shutting down the scenes, bring closure to families and community and overall thoroughly investigating each case they receive ensuring that they do the best they can to get the outcome needed.
The Crime Suppression Unit is responsible for the operations of crime within the streets of San Andreas. Their aim is to remove crime off the streets, this is done by the apprehension of criminals such as dealers, and the removal of weapons, drugs etc. from the streets.
